How long have you been in business?

Verve Hosting has provided quality hosting since 2000.

Is a contract required for webhosting?

No, a contract is not required. You can pay monthly, quarterly, every 6 months or yearly and cancel at the end of your payment cycle.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express and PayPal.

Can I upgrade or downgrade my account if I need to?

You can upgrade or downgrade your account at any time.

Do you offer a money back guarantee?

Yes, we offer a 30 day money back guarantee. If you are not satisfied with our services we will refund the hosting fees after 30 days. The guarantee does not include domain registration fees.

Does your hosting come with a control panel?

Yes, each of our shared and reseller accounts include the cPanel control panel. VPS accounts have the option to add cPanel for a fee.

Do you provide discounts for non-profit companies?

Yes, we provide a 15% discount for non-profits.

What's the difference between shared hosting, reseller hosting and VPS hosting?

With shared hosting you are sharing a server with other customers. With reseller hosting you share a server with other resellers who are hosting multiple accounts. With VPS hosting you have your own virtual private server and only your website(s) are hosted on the server.

What are your support hours?

We provide technical support 24 hours per day, seven days per week.

Does your hosting come with a control panel?

Yes, each of our shared and reseller accounts include the cPanel control panel. VPS accounts have the option to add cPanel for a fee.

Do I need to transfer my domain registration to Verve?

No. If you don't want to transfer the domain registration you can just update the nameservers for the domain to point to our nameservers.

What backup services do you offer?

We backup the servers daily to a second hard drive on each server. We also backup daily to a remote server. Each customer has access to both backup systems via the cPanel. Our backup service is provided as a courtesy to our customers. Verve Hosting will not be held responsible for data loss if for any reason the backups are not available.

What operating system is used on your servers?

We use CloudLinux on our shared and reseller accounts.

Can Verve help me move my website from my current host?

Yes. We would need FTP and SSH access to your account. If your current host uses cPanel we can restore a backup from your account on our server.

Is email hosting included in my hosting package?

Yes, unlimited email accounts is included with each hosting package.

Can I buy a domain name without buying a hosting account?

Yes, you can buy a domain name without buying a hosting account.

I already have a domain name. How do I point it to my Verve hosting account?

Just update the nameservers for your domain to ns.vervehosting.com, ns2.vervehosting.com and ns3.vervehosting.com.

Do you offer web design?

We do not offer web design at this time.

Do you offer SSH access?

Yes, we offer SSH access.

Do you offer Windows hosting?

No, our servers are all Linux servers.

Why don't you offer unlimited disk space?

We don't offer unlimited hosting because there are limits to the size of a hard drive. Many hosting companies offer unlimited space for extremely low prices, then cross their fingers and hope you never actually use it. If by chance you do use an exorbitant amount of space your host will send you warnings about resource usage overages and inode limits. Some hosts will even force you to upgrade your account. We offer what we can deliver. You’ll never be surprised by an email from us stating that you have exceeded inode or disk usage limits just because you use all of the space that’s included with your hosting plan.
